Trapecio Cine es una productora fundada por Matías Piñeiro y Melanie Schapiro, que trabajan juntes desde el año 2011.
Exploran sistemas alternativos de producción basados en microestructuras que garantizan la continuidad sustentable de sus proyectos. Sus películas han participado en festivales internacionales tales como Berlinale, Locarno, Toronto, Cannes, Viennale y Bafici, entre otros.
En 2012 produjeron "Viola", seleccionada y premiada en festivales como Toronto, Berlinale y Bacifi, entre otros. Ganó el premio FIPRESCI a mejor película Argentina del año y el premio Cinema Tropical como mejor película, entregado en Nueva York. En 2014 produjeron "La princesa de Francia" y en 2016 "Hermia & Helena", ambas estrenadas en la competencia oficial del Festival de Locarno y seleccionadas en otros festivales tales como NYFF, Toronto, Mar del Plata y San Sebastián, entre otros. En 2018 estrenaron "La omisión" en el Festival de Berlín y "La muerta del Maestro" en el Festival de Rotterdam. En 2019 coprodujeron "Los tiburones", película uruguaya estrenada en Sundance, ganadora de múltiples premios en los más diversos festivales internacionales. En 2020 estrenaron "Isabella", merecedora de un premio en la Competencia Encounters del Festival de Berlín y de dos premios en la Competencia Internacional del Festival de Mar del Plata.
Actualmente se encuentran terminando la postproducción del largometraje "Monólogo Colectivo" y desarrollando "Estaciones" y "Una llanura de juncos".

It explores alternative systems of production based in microstructures that guarantee the sustainable continuity of its projects. With the profits of one movie they finance the next one, and so on.
They have produced both feature and short films, most of them with very similar crew and cast members, generating a “cinematographic family”.
In 2012 they produced "Viola", selected and awarded at many film festivals such as Toronto, Berlinale and Bacifi, among others. It won the FIPRESCI award for best Argentine film of the year and the Cinema Tropical award for best film, delivered in New York. In 2014 they produced "La princesa de Francia" and in 2016 "Hermia & Helena", both premiered in the official competition of the Locarno Festival and selected in other festivals such as NYFF, Toronto, Mar del Plata and San Sebastián. In 2018 they premiered "The omission" at the Berlin Festival and "The Death of the Master" at the Rotterdam Festival. In 2019 they co-produced "The Sharks", an Uruguayan film premiered at Sundance, winner of multiple awards at the most diverse international festivals. In 2020 they premiered "Isabella", which got an award at the Encounters Competition of the Berlin Film Festival and two awards in the International Competition of the Mar del Plata Festival.
They are currently finishing the post-production of the feature film "Collective Monologue" and developing "Stations" and "A plain of reeds".
